Delaney DeMott is an artist and educator whose work highlights the “hiccups” that contribute to one’s lived experience. Through weaving, collage, and mixed-media sculpture, her depictions of people navigating life reflect its complexity. DeMott’s work, workshops, and lecture series have toured notable institutions, including the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, Kutztown University, American University, Concordia University, University of Chicago, Delta College, Indiana University, SUNY Buffalo State, and Beijing Normal University. In addition to an active studio practice, she teaches at Tyler School of Art and Architecture @ Temple University, raises a family, and cares for many animals and plants on a 9-acre property in rural PA.
